What is Sliding Scale Pricing?

Sliding scale pricing means a business or organization charges based on an individual’s ability to pay. The practice creates opportunities for people who may not otherwise be able to afford certain services.

How it works

If you decide you would like to try sliding scale pricing for a commission or an odd job, contact me for a quote. If you make an hourly wage, I will match it! So if you make $15.00 an hour, I will work for $15.00 per hour, which is less than my typical price. If you work a salaried job or are on a fixed income like Social Security, calculate roughly how much you would make if you worked hourly, and I will match that price.

Price Cap Guarantee

I provide a work estimate for any job I do, including an estimate of how long a project will take and how much it will cost. To ease your mind, I also include a price cap—the highest price estimate. If I go over the price cap, any labor past that point is free.

It is important to note that the price cap refers to the job described in the estimate. If a client would like additional jobs not listed, we will work together to write up a new estimate.

Avoid Sliding Scale Pricing if…

If you are uncomfortable sharing how much money you make, sliding scale pricing will not work. That’s all right! Just contact me for regular prices.
